2021-2023 Upgrades

After we completed our kitchen renovation and expansion in early 2019, all remained quiet on the physical plant front until the latter half of 2021, when we started making several more substantial investments in our facilities. Those investments continue through the present day. Any item below with a "+" beside it represents a project in progress.

Overnight Accommodations

All Rooms

• Upgraded lamps/lighting
• Upgraded seat cushions for rocking chairs on decks 
• Added side table on decks 
  
• Added rokus for television monitors

Creek Side Rooms

• Added coffee/beverage stations with granite counter tops and more storage
• Added refrigerators to Evergreen rooms  (Mountain Laurels already had them)
• Added additional storage/hanging space to Evergreen rooms
• Upgraded side/coffee tables
• Upgraded carpeting
• Upgraded paint color in rooms and bathrooms - walls, ceilings, cabinetry, railings
• Upgraded door and window hardware 
• Added rope lights on decks for additional lighting

Solstice Rooms

• Upgraded couches in common areas 
• Replaced wooden with granite countertops at beverage stations & public restrooms
• Upgraded side/coffee tables in rooms and common areas
• Upgraded paint color in rooms, bathrooms and common areas

Main Lodge

General

• Upgraded carpet in dining room & rest of Lodge 
• Upgraded upholstery in dining rooms 
• Upgraded Manning Overlook to year-round and private use if desired

Taylor Hall

• Added chandeliers 
• Added window treatments 
• Upgraded carpeting
• Upgraded paint color 

Gristmill & Granary

• Added new roof for Granary deck
• Upgraded paint color in bathrooms and common areas
• Upgraded carpeting in meeting rooms 
• Added rope lighting in stairwells for additional lighting
• Added window treatments in meeting rooms
• Added new and larger roof at Gristmill entrance

Grounds

• Added up-lights to Gristmill & Granary
• Added string lights to Hammock Bower 
• Added rope lights to all boardwalks
  
• Replaced wooden bridge with steel, clear-span bridge
• Replaced wood decking around Gristmill with new trex decking
• Added bistro tables & chairs to patio outside Main Lodge and on deck by Gristmill
• Re-sealed and re-striped all driveways and parking spaces
